The Third Fascia Research Congress held in Vancouver, B.C., Canada will deliver the same high level of scientific presentations previously set in the second conference held at Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. These series of international conferences, dedicated to the newly emerging field of "Fascia Studies", continue to build upon the objectives set out at the First Fascia Research Congress in Boston in 2007. The principal focus of the conferences is the presentation of the latest and best scientific research findings on the human fasciae in all its forms and functions. More than 1,000 participants from around the world are expected to attend the 2012 conference.

The 2012 Fascia Congress will focus on the latest and best research on the human fasciae. Additionally, in recognition of the interests of clinicians in gaining insights that will bear on practical applications, the program will be designed to include more presentation time given to relating the research findings to clinical issues.

The Vancouver conference will be hosted by the Massage Therapists' Association of British Columbia (MTABC). Over 700 BC RMTs participated in the 2007 Congress replays, reflecting the recognized impact that this research has on massage therapy. The selection of the MTABC by the directors of the Fascia Research Congress, a project of the  Ida P. Rolf Research Foundation, is recognition of the excellence, quality and commitment of BC’s Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs).
