Hey, I know this is probably basic and you've done this already, but worth mentioning. Have you gone through your cleaning process? Do a deep clean of your tools, stones, warmers, even the knobs, and handles, anything you have to touch. See it that works. It doesn't hurt to every now and then boil the stones or add a little bleach and start over. Totally feeling for you here. It seems us LMT's have to use so many oils, creams, lotions, and cheap EO's that we are most likely to develop allergic reactions to stuff. I hope you find your solution. Let us know if you figured it out.

I only use coconut oil on all of my massages. You can find it in the grocery store in the vegtable oils section for cooking. Wal-mart is the only place I have found that carries it. If it is not the oil you might try wearing very thin latex gloves to do the hot stone massage. Very sorry for the aggetation of the rash. Hope you find a solution soon.

we don't use the oil on the stones - we use the oil on the body and then use the hot stones as a massage tool in the palm of your hand.......I am not sure if it's a combination of heat and the oil but it's a nasty rash - when it heals it cracks my hands and peels I look like I am scaling......thanks for your input

I have never used oil on my stones so I have never experiences your issue. I do however get a rash on my lower leg when there is too much chorine in a swimming pool and only steroids relieve it. Maybe its not the oil.
