Interpretation of Children's drawings

Many children struggle with learning difficulties and can be disruptive in the classroom. This is not always

an indication of a lack of intelligence or laziness. Ironically these children often work harder and apply more

effort to their school work but struggle with things like auditory processing, retained cranial compressions

from birth difficulties, midline barriers and retained primitive reflexes. In some instances medication

may be helpful - however this does not always address the underlying causes. The interpretation of children’s

drawings can be helpful as a diagnostic support. Children can be quite succinct in their drawings about

their problems and what they are struggling with. Learning about the language of their drawings can provide

a deeper understanding and appreciation of their difficulties - and lend insight into appropriate therapies

and support.

Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle but powerful treatment popular for healing a wide range of emotional and

physical conditions in adults and children.  The easing of the child's stresses, and the increased vitality and

well-being that Craniosacral Therapy can bring are welcome at any time in the child's development.
