Massage benefits your physical health and well-being. Massage chairs offer muscle treatment, focusing on areas such as your neck, legs, head and back. Think about what areas you would want to focus on as you consider massage chairs, and look for a chair that will reach these specific areas.

Each person's body has unique needs. Some people prefer heat, and others don't. Some people prefer a hard massage, while others like a lighter touch. Some people like massaging seats, while others want a massage focused on their back. As you are doing a massage chairs comparison, pick and choose the features and benefits that are most important to you.

Stress and stiff joints are two ailments that can have a negative impact on your health. Massagers  can help decrease tension in your body while improving your flexibility and stability. Massage chairs work on pressure points, helping you unwind. A reclining massage chair, which will help you lay back or flat, helps relieve stress.

What Features Does The Massage Chair Have?

If you tend to get muscle tension in certain parts of your body, you may want a massage chair that does a particularly good job massaging that area. For example, some massage chairs have expanding air bags in the leg and foot area. Others incorporate the hip and buttocks.

Some massage chairs allow you to increase or decrease the intensity of the massage.

We have found that the recline or degree that the massage chair tilts back is a major factor when choosing a massage chair. The recline of the massage varies and some massage chairs offer a  Zero Gravity option where the chair places the body in a position of complete weightlessness, taking all pressure off of the spine, increasing relaxation and massage effectiveness. Some chairs recline to 175 degrees, lying the body almost flat, thus being the largest degree of recline. Some massage chairs have 2 or more recline settings allowing you to choose your degree of recline and some have options to move the ottoman independently as well. We recommend looking for chairs that are able to recline to 170 degrees for maximum relaxation and optimum massage experience. 

If there are specific massage strokes or sequences you like and you're sharing the massage chair with other people, you may want to consider a massage chair that allows you to save massage sequences. This means you won't have to reprogram your massage sequence each time you use the chair.
