Rainbath Ceremony Workshop: A unique treatment incorporating Native American ceremony, stones and essential oils

When: Saturday, November 19 · 9:00am - 5:00pm

Where: Creature Comforts Bodywork, Lonsdale, MN

***This workshop is approved for 8 CEU hours by NCBTMB.***

This treatment comes directly from traditional Native American healing practices. It utilizes essential oils and stones in a ceremony that will aid in detoxification and leave your clients feeling refreshed and energized. The oils are applied to the back in a specific sequence while hot and cool stones are used to enhance the absorption of the oils into the body. The oils and stones are applied with a ceremonial attitude, which can bring your client to a deeper level of wellness and healing.

By applying the oils directly to the spine, they are absorbed almost immediately and can directly affect the nervous system and make their way into the body's control center, the brain. The oils are designed to work synergistically together to promote balance and wellness in the body.

“In this workshop the student learns the background of this ritual and the history of the herbal energies. Each herb used for creating the essential oils is fully discussed in spiritual terms as well as scientific. The instruction manual offers information on where to purchase oils and how to further develop your work with Essential oils in combination with the Stone Tribe.

The students will have an opportunity to perform the entire process on one another and will be prepared to offer this treatment modality to their clients, family and friends by the conclusion of the class. In the professional spa setting this is a one-hour treatment. Specific stones are used for various aspects of the therapy and a variety of temperature ranges are explored.

There are no prerequisites for this class and it is open to massage therapists, aroma therapists and energy workers. Lay-persons may attend to learn this method for home use with family.” Quoted from the Stone Medicine website.

Supplies Needed:
“A kit of oils and stones has been prepared for purchase by the students. Each kit will offer approximately 12 treatment sessions allowing the student opportunity to profit quickly from their new knowledge. The instruction manual is included in the course fees.”
