Hi JB - Thanks for the compliment on the website. Actually I did it in about an hour with the new templates that ABMP rolled out. Worth the price of the membership and THENSOME!!! Check it out! Let me know if you need any help navigating it... victoriabrown@massagetherapy.com

Dear JB.
Thank you for joining my medical and sports massage group. I hope that our friendship will be pleasant and mutual beneficial. You welcome to initiate discussions, to post questions as well to answer on questions of others. I am planning constantly to be involved in discussions as well to post my articles and links to my videos. In such a case we will be able to exchange our knowledge. Meantime you welcome to view my video lessons as well to read a bit on the history of Russian medical and sports massage .if you will have any questions on the subjects please feel free to post it .I will be happy to reply .Using the opportunity would like to ask you to recommend my group to other practitioners. Up front thank you.
Best wishes.

JB - you said you're looking to move to FL. I am a FL LMT, only got my license in July and started working at a national chain on Aug 3rd. I am putting in this first year for the experience and the opportunity to work on a lot of clients. My location is fairly busy, although there is a "season" here and it will supposedly be getting much busier in the next month or so. I don't think there's any problem finding a job; it's an issue of the pay, which in my opinion is very low. On the plus side, everything is provided for you, including the clients, so I'm sure that's part of why the compensation is so low. As for African Americans, in my graduating class of 6 people, one was African American and she also works where I work. In the next class of 6, two are African American (again both women). They have 27 therapists (or so) on staff where I work, of which only two are African American. I've never heard of any problems with the therapists I know regarding race, but that doesn't mean it's not out there. Anyway, over all, I think you could get a job(s) here but the economy in general is very bad in this region (SW FL). I wish you luck in your search for a better situation.

I started having them in my home until they grew too big. They are so much fun!! Plus, I can see who is in the industry when it's time for me to hire.
