Hello! I need help finding a massage lotion that is organic/chemical free with all natural ingredients. Also I would prefer it does not leave a greasy feeling for the clients and a pleasant smell or unscented.

I would greatly appreciate recommendations of products that you personally use and your clients love.

Thank you!

Try jojoba oil, which isn't truly an oil it is the ester of a bean, You can get organic or not, it washes out easily. It is in many cosmetics and blends in to the skin easily and does not leave your clients feeling like  a french fry.  You also do not need to use a lot. Personally i use jooba from The Boston Jojoba Co. I believe that they will send a sample if requested.

I use this:

It's unscented; it does have a very slight smell but it's barely noticeable.  It is oily of course but not greasy, and it washes off the skin much more easily than other oils I've tried or had used on me.  And it works beautifully with essential oils.

How about making your own?!

It's easy and you can control what you come in it. A basis oil and emulsify it with water. Personal I use almond oil; it's good, neutral in smell (and taste if you should get the urge to taste your creme.... ;-) )

It is a very simple process: heat the oil to ~ 70 deg C and dissolve the emulsifier in it:

Heat the water to ~70 deg C and dissolve the emulsifier in it.

Pour the oil in the water and whip as if your are payed for it!

How much water/oil and emulsifier you should use you can find in recipes all over  the net; I use the gradient so I end up with what they call "lotion".

good luck!

Tisha,   I highly recommend coconut oil as it is one of the healthiest oils to ingest and/or massage into the skin.  I get mine from a company in California called Barclay Lab.  It's called Natural Treasures Massage Oil and comes in a variety of sizes. It has a wonderful viscosity and it does not stain sheets or clothing. It is unscented but you can always add your favorite essential oils to it. There are no unnatural ingredients of fillers in it and it leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth.

Hi Tisha, I use Zen Organics unscented lotion- It works very well, has good glide, little to no scent, and washes out of sheets

I've used Sacred Earth Cream for three years. It is vegan. I've tried other brands, but, for deep tissue and no greasy residue I always go back to Sacred Earth. If I do use oil I use grape seed oil mixed with a custom blend for each client.

It's taken me 3 years to finally find something I really like.  I combine organic jojoba oil with Khepra massage lotion and it is the perfect combination of slide and grip.

I'll second the use of jojoba oil.  I've been using it for years and find it is perfect weight for use in all kinds of modalities - a little goes a long way.  It is really wonderful for people who have skin conditions (sunburns, dry skin or eczema) and perfect for folks with nut allergies since it comes from a bean, not a nut.  I find mine at hobacare jojoba oil company where you can get pesticide free or certified organic.
