Hello! I'm in the process of expanding my studio space in the Washington Park and Cherry Creek North area and am looking for other therapists in need of space to work from. Would anyone know of both massage therapists and estheticians who might be looking? Thanks for your assistance!

I am so amazed that their was such a con't ed course for animals. Our state of PA is getting into some disagreement with PT and Vets. I am discussing the problem with my vet and would like to have him give me insight as to how vet and vet tech's are handling the massage of these animals, especially senior animals. So far nothing conclusive. Our PT's and PTA's in the state of Pennsylvania are not allowed to practice on animals. Our practice only states human's only. I am a certified massage therapist in PA and a Physical therapist assistant in the state of PA and OHIO. As an Ohio PTA I can practice on animals with the concent of a Vet and as a Massage therapist I can work on animals in either state. Strange how the laws work. Any con't ed information that you find on line or in my state, could you please pass it on.
Thanks so very much and massage those seniors..they appreciate it sooo much

Hello Shelly,
I do volunteer work in a NY hospital, massaging termionally ill patients.Prior to working at the hospital I was in a hospice setting for 2 years until it closed. The patients are remarkable, appreciative and so receptive to massage. The type of massage we do on them is more like comfort touch, soothing and very comforting. Some therapist do reiki, while others do yoga and energy work. The patients are referred to us through the Palliative Care Unit. The doctors and nurses at the hospital are most respectful of our work and have more patients than we can service. There are 5 massage therapist at this one hospital which has a training program, "Hospital Based Massage Thereapy for Serious &Terminally Ill Patients." The training is provided annually, usually the last week-end in May. All of the volunteers serve on the panel. Hope this information is helpful
