I just purchased the Bamboo Fusion set, but have never had it done myself.  Any thoughts?  Is anyone using this?  All thoughts are welcome!

Hi Erica. Your best bet would be to take one of Nathalie Cecilia's Classes. She created this modality. Details at http://www.bamboo-fusion.com/
You might want to try out my Touch of Jade Lymphatic Massage. The facial is very effective, looks like you had a face lift.

Hi Erica, It is really worth taking one of classes. I watched the video Nathalie Cecilia made and was not terribly impressed. Then I took her workshop at the AMTA New England Regional conference. She did a very nice job sharing this with a shorted workshop format and way too many attendees. I had an opportunity to experience and try several techniques. It felt wonderful when I was worked on, the tools were easy to use and add variety to the work you can do and it was a fun lovely day.
Thank you!

I also just purchased the Bamboo Infusion set and love using it!!! Clients love it and I love cooming up with new techniques with the Bamboo with all the different body types. The DVD was not very impressive, but if you can take a class then go for it!!! Good luck:)

I will have my license in a month and have been interested in massaging with bamboo. I have a problem with my fingers hyper extending causing them to lock up so I really wanted to learn a modality using tools. I am thinking about purchasing the dvd and bamboo set but am afraid the dvd won't be as helpful as a class but there are no classes nearby and I can't afford to travel to any class at this time.

Would it be helpful enough until I can get to a class?

Any thoughts or suggestions are much appreciated.

Thanks,
Melissa
If you have never experienced it, why did you buy it? How do you plan to integrate it into your practice? Do you understand the relative pros and cons of this work compared to what you usually do? That is, do you understand the difference from a practical perspective (doing/feeling the work), and not just based on the bamboo massage marketing that is out there?

I am always fascinated when people invest practice resources in something they have not yet experienced. What was your train of thought?
Well first off, I would never offer something like this until I had indeed tried it myself. I purchase lots of things for my practice for new ideas, fun things to try, and for some lucrative write offs. I also teach massage, and the school is constantly looking for new techniques to offer or recommmend. Thats all :)

I took the classes for Tian Di bamboo massage and really enjoy working with the bamboo sticks. While I offer the Tian Di massage including massage cupping and gua sha, I mainly incorporate the bamboo during a regular therapeutic massage. My clients especially love the "rolling pin" and tapotement techniques. The sticks also allow me to work deeper into the traps. I also incorporate the sticks with chair massage. I have an 8 hour chair event next month and it really helps take some of the pressure off my hands.
