I use Boddywork Buddy everyday.
It is the best recording keeping program that I have ever tried. My favorite part about it,well one of my favorites is when I have repeat clients all I have to do search their name,click copy change the date and time boom done.My accountant loves me when I come in with print outs of monly quarterly,etc. It is well worth the monthly fee instead having to do everything by hand.
If any body has not tried Bodywork Buddy I think you will like it go to. www.bodyworkbuddy.com it is well worth it.

Thanks for the info about bodybuddy Craig. How long have you been useing the system and what happens if it goes down, do you not have access to your info. It sounds good but I do have concerns.

Although I only massage about 10 hours a week, I am very busy teaching or working on other things the majority of my time.... so having Bodywork Buddy to help keep track of at least one part of my life is great!
Having access to my client info wherever I log in is great - rather than being limited to work on their file just at the office, now I can add a few notes as I think of them when I'm at home or when I'm online at the coffee shop. If a client calls or emails me, I can enter a note about that conversation in their file right then. Pretty nice for a scatterbrained person like me.
It was tough for me at first to enter in all of my existing clients - only because I couldn't find the time to set aside to enter each client into the system. The creators of Bodywork Buddy suggested that I enter my clients info after their next session, so that I don't have to spend a full day at the computer entering in all the existing info. Just a few a day to build it slowly, and it actually helped me get better acquainted with the program that way too!
The expenses and income reports are going to make my tax filing SO much easier, WAAAY better than sorting through my usual shoe box full of receipts! Yay for easyness and organizedness!
Try it, you'll like it! They have a lot more features in the works it sounds like, you really can't go wrong with Bodywork Buddy! I think it's well worth the monthly cost to save myself some extra time each month and save some stress come tax time.

Hey body work friends:) I have been using Bodywork Buddy for almost a year and it has been so wonderful! I now can access my client information from anywhere that I am. Using a web based software system has been so incredibly helpful. I am traveling a lot and am not always with the same computer. That aspect alone has been awesome!
It makes everything so simple once you get your information entered in. Keeping track of all my appointments, income and expenses, client files, soap notes, gift certificates, birthdays, etc. really keeps my business current and fresh. I spend all day long 5 days a week working with clients. Setting aside the time for office work is essential to a healthy business. Bodywork Buddy helps me achieve this! Every time I have had a question or concern about how to do something they have answered me back almost immediately! Thank you sooo much Bodywork Buddy!!!

How does the pricing work, per name or what? Do you get some type of download file with all the client data in it? This data is owned by the therapist but if you can't get the data it will be gone forever. At least if you get a download of the information you could import it into another database or possibly an Excel spreadsheet. This would be much better than to have to re-enter all that data.

This is just the discussion I am looking for about BodyBuddy, so far you all of you have been very positive about it. However, like Schoffstall I too am concerned about BodyBuddy's servers going down or even the business failing and then what? How do you get your information about your clients back? Can it be downloaded on to something else. Also, what about support, is it only through e-mail, can they be reached by phone? So far they have been very responsive to my e-mails but I like talking to people in person myself.

I am sorry it took me so long to respond,I have been very busy. I had to put my daughter done yesterday(Vera my baby Begal) I call her my daughter because I have no children, so she is my child.
I started out as a beta tester.Let the creater know what bugs there were,etc. I also told him what I would like to see,and we went back and forth,fun times....LOL So I have been using it for I would say 2 1/2 years and now I see no problems with it, There was one time it was down,but in an hour it was back up and running just like it did when he took it live. I have to say that I am a very out spoken person, friend or no friend.The creator is a very good friend of mine and so is his wife. But when it comes to business leave the friendship at the door and get down to brass tacks.That is what he is all about,keeping us,plus his wife big time happy with the program.I would say give it a try you won't be sorry.

Cindy from Bodywork Buddy has been really great at getting back to me about the program and she even called me in person! I love small companies and the personal service they offer. That is what we all are, small businesses.
Anyhow, thanks to all of you and your feed back we will be useing this program. They are offering the first month as a trial period and if it is what we hope it is, believe me, everyone in my area will know about it!
