Urgent request from CAMTC for letters to CA State Senators

Late last night I received word that the California Police Chiefs Association of Police Chiefs (CPCA) is still working to damage and impede the success of CAMTC in moving toward state-level regulation of massage therapy in California. CAMTC is urging all supportive parties to write a letter to be sent to state senators as soon as possible urging them to kill AB-1822…

Where's Joe Friday When We Really Need Him?

In the long running radio and TV show Dragnet, Sgt Joe Friday often made statements like "All we want are the facts, ma'am" and "All we know are the facts, ma'am". This evolved into the iconic phrase "Just the facts, ma'am" in a parody of Dragnet by Stan Freberg called St. George and the Dragonet.

California Police Cheifs Rallying Support to Kill State Level Regulation

According to a newly out Massage Today article, California police chiefs are rallying support to kill state level regulation of massage therapy implemented last year via the California Massage Therapy Council (CAMTC) as passage of SB 731. AB 1822 will come before the CA Assembly Business and Professions Committee next Tuesday, 20 April. This is an attempt pushed by a small contingent of police chiefs, while most cities and… Continue

Keith--there's a discussion going on over on the "Myths of Massage" board about massage and flushing out wastes/toxins. Lee Kaplan's linked to an article you wrote, but it's continuing to raise questions. Would you be willing to swing on by and help us (okay, me) out? Thanks!
