The blankets we use are a light fleece blanket. Very easy to work with.

Darcy - I'm a mobile therapist and many of my clients do not want to have a blanket - some even fuss about a bath towel. When I worked at Elements in Colorado we also had blankets, and I found them to be really bulky when I was doing any sort of draping.

We were also taught in school to use only colored sheets on the massage table because of the sheerness of white. Massage Envy uses only white sheets from a linen company. They also use dark purple blankets on each table that are mandatory. So I don't see anything wrong with the white sheets with a blanket over them. Works good for us.

I am not happy about bleaching sheets either. I also use colored linens and it will ruin them

Does anyone know what happened at the meeting Tuesday? I was not able to make it.

One thing I have noted - and maybe it is just me... but I really don't like the idea of bleaching my linens. I use colored linens as white ones just seem to 'sheer' to me - no matter what the thread count. (I'm just rereading the Regulation Details now, so I'm sure I'll have other things I take issue with. How about the rest of you??)

Hi everyone! I'm only been practicing for two years.I graduated from Sanford Brown Institute, Monroeville Pa. I work with Chiropractor by appointment only also working at Day Spa when I'm not traveling with my husband to do massage for his clients. I don't take clients at home unless it's a close friends, relatives or family. I do home service for my older clients specially those ones whose having problem driving. It's a rocky road sometimes but it's an enjoyable experience so far. I love the the feeling of being able to help someone and become a part of their WELL-BEING.

Unless asked to participate public can only observe. Tuesday meeting may be just a quick vote or may have some discussion.

The public meeting on Tuesday October 12th will be held in Boardroom D. The directions to the building where the meeting will take place is on the State Board of MT website. I hope many or at least some of you can make it to show support for your profession. I plan to leave Greensburg around 8-8:30 Tuesday morning.

Thanks Bob. Can you tell me where the meeting will be held and exactly what role the public may have, if any, at the meeting?

Jeffrey, just an FYI, all PA Massage Board meetings are open to the public to attend, unless discussing complaints or other private matters.

I really can't get too involved in the licensing discussions here but did want to make that point.
