I'm in the very beginning stages but am consdering moving my practice to Denver (Antique row) from Aurora.  There is a 900 sq foot space with apartments upstairs.  We're hoping to get the apartments thrown for free in exchange for getting at least one for free and moving my practice there.  Store front would be nice, where I'm at now is in an office complex, not much walk-in traffic. Question:  does Denver require a business license?  I know the Colorado went to state registration, but as a business owner I still have a business license for Aurora.

I would like the answer to that question too Susan. Here in Polk county florida we are required to have a city and a county occupational license. I'm interested in what Denver, the Denver area and Jefferson County require. Thanks for putting that out there.
With regard to massage therapists, the City of Denver has the following web page:

http://www.denvergov.org/LicensesandPermits/MassageTherapist/tabid/...

"Senate Bill 219 , Registration of massage therapists titled "The Massage Therapy Practice Act" goes into effect beginning April 1,2009. Therefore the City and County of Denver will discontinue issuance of massage therapists licenses at that time."

As far as a business license, here's the city of Denver FAQ page:

http://www.denvergov.org/FrequentlyAskedQuestions/tabid/379930/Defa...

"We issue over 90 different licenses. If you need specific information, please contact this office by dialing 3-1-1 (if outside of Denver, please dial 720-913-1311.)"
