Hi Pat!

In regards to your question about Las Vegas....

It's really tough to answer  ;)

I say that because yes, the weather is great and it's a great place to live.  It's only really hot here for three months.  The remaining nine months it's beautiful!

In regards to being a therapist here, let me say that our economy is still struggling.  It's beginning to come back a bit, but not very much.  There's a lot of therapists who are struggling here, now, and many not working who have just given up.

Not to be negative, but it's the truth.  I really think if you have a great work ethic and good communication skills one can do really well here.

What would be best is if you moved here with support; I don't know your personal situation, but if you have a husband or such that can take the financial load off, that would give you time to get established.  I don't see many, experienced or not, that are walking into spas and getting hired.  It's a owners market right now  ;)

Hope this helps!

Kris

Pat,

In repsonse to what class to take for your CEU'S I became certified in PUSH Therapy last November and I love the work! It is a specialized muscle therapy technique that does rid chronic pain. I have had tremendous results with my clients and I highly recommend the work and the classes.

I have taken the Biotone Spa training and the following training with Lolita Knight: Fijian Massage (posterior, anterior, and advanced), Indian Head Massage, Greenstone Massage, and Chinese facial Massage. I have also been certified to teach the Lolita Knight techniques, but it will probably be after the first of the year before I am ready to teach a class in anything. I just wen through a small expansion at work-adding an Esthetician and Nail Tech.
