Rebecca Vaughan is a BC Registered Massage Therapist who successfully completed the 3000 hour program at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Victoria in December 2008. Since Then she has taken extra training in Pregnancy massage and Myofascial anatomy trains technique. She is a member of the College of Massage Therapists of BC and the Massage Therapy Association of BC. She has now made Fernie her home town and lives and operates her business out of beavertail lodge.

Rebecca’s goal in treatment is to provide personalized care based on the patient’s individual needs, and to assist them in achieving optimal health and function. Therapeutic massage is used to treat a diverse range of conditions including headaches, postural dysfunction, acute and chronic injuries/pain, repetitive stress syndromes, neurological conditions and general tension. She focuses her treatments around relaxation and uses a variety of techniques such as deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, muscle energy technique, myofascial release, orthopedic techniques, Reiki and swedish massage.

Rebecca looks to treat the root of the dysfunction rather than just the symptoms to provide long-term resolution. Customized stretches, strengthening routines and body awareness excersices are given to encourage her patients to be proactive in their healing process.
