help with marketing my massage books in Canada

Hello from London! Can anyone suggest good places I can market my books for massage therapists? My publishers (Human Kinetics) have asked if I can help promote my books on Soft Tissue Release and Deep Tissue Massage, both out now (and Postural Assesment, out next year). Even though I meet around 400 therapists a year in my work we are all based in the UK and I have little knowledge of the Canadian market. I have posted this question on a couple of groups on this site. Sales are doing well here…See More

tear in longhead of biceps brachii???

Hi from London. I have a client (kung fu insturctor) with a possible tear to the long head of biceps brachii tendon (pain is directly over the tendon site) yet resisted elbow flexion and supination are pain free. I've ruled out all other pathologies through testing. 3 weeks post injury the client has regained full ROM following rehab exrecises I gave him but decreased strength in forward flexion and abduction of the gh joint on that side and still soreness on palpation of the tendon. I know…See More

You asked about massage magazines in the USA... There are basically 4 that are reputable and available nationwide: Massage Magazine, Massage & Bodywork (ABMP professional magazine), Massage Therapy Journal (AMTA professional magazine). However there is also the Massage Therapy Research Database (massagetherapyfoundation.org) that indexes research articles for massage. It's not a magazine. I hope this helps.
