Ray, that sounds like a fabulous idea! Africa, India, and Italy are definitely wonderful locales, and I am wondering if we could set up some kind of international exchange to include other origins of massage, such as Sweden, China, Japan. We could develop a new modality of massage that incorporates techniques from all of the established methods. We'll call it Mega-massage!

Just an FYI Update - I am planning another event in Ocean City,NJ May 2010
and another residential retreat for lomi on Kauai september 2010.

The ocean city residential retreat is limited to 6 people. It will be a detoxification and cleanse week , includes the lodging, all meals/juicing, yoga twice daily, bodywork training (more lomi).

Hi Meghann,
In South Africa a group of doctors and complimentary health practitioners / artsists and craftsmen are setting up a project called south African Healing Villages which will, I hope cater for such an interest. Live work and learn in a Healing environment. In the meantime you could try Auroville in India and / or Damanhur in Italy.
